Below deployment options are supported by SAP as of today. These may change in the future as per the SAP’s roadmap.
- S/4 HANA EWM as an embedded system. In this option the SAP EWM will be part of S/4 HANA EM system. This option is recommended for small or mid scale transaction volume warehouses. Client can choose either a basic license or an advanced license at the warehouse level depends on the required warehouse functions for the corresponding warehouse.
- S/4 HANA EWM as a decentral system. In this option the S/4 HANA is installed as a separate system for SAP EWM application, no other core ERP applications are usable. This option is suitable for high transaction volume warehouses. Client can freely consume all the functions of SAP EWM.
- S/4 HANA EWM on cloud. Client can install the above two on-premise options on private cloud.
- SAP Warehouse on public cloud. In this option the client will have limited scope of customizing the application.
- SAP EWM on business suite. EWM 9.5 is the last version of this software. SAP will not support business suite applications after 2027.
