Monitoring YL and EWM interfaces

Most of the times the interfaces between YL and EWM works smoothly. But rarely you may find the interface is broken. Then you should know where to start and how to find the issue, there after resolving it.

It’s all via QRFC

The communication between YL and EWM happens via QRFC. So, the first recommendation is to check if there are any failed QRFC queues.

Tip: Use SMQ1 to check for the failed outbound queues.

Everything is logged

Fortunately SAP added logs for the YL and EWM interfaces. But there is no External ID you can enter to filter the logs. You can only filter the logs by the Object, Sub-object, timestamps and user. Mostly these logs can provide enough information to find the root cause. Still they are not very detailed.

Tip: Use SLG1 to access the application logs.
